Air Marshal Arshad Malik—the Chief Executive Officer of the national carrier flag of Pakistan on Monday said that the World Bank (WB) is willing to invest in the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
During the meeting of the Board of Directors of the PIA, CEO Arshad Malik said that the administration of the national carrier flag has managed to drop down the losses of PIA. “Two more aircraft have been added in the fleet of Pakistan International Airlines,” he added.
Arshad Malik said that the World Bank has shown its interest to invest in PIA, while several pacts of the collaboration have already been signed with banks.
It is to be mentioned here that during the meeting of the board of directors, the CEO PIA was briefed by the concerned officials about the reforms process in the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
During the meeting, the authorities also approved the audit report and accounts of the Pakistani International Airlines for 2018.
Earlier, the fares for the domestic passengers have been increased by the Pakistan International Airlines and other private airlines operating in the country.
