Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is changing and revamping its aircraft. The airline has decided to display Pakistan’s national animal Markhor on the exterior of the aircraft.
As per the reports, PIA is thinking to change its logo and design by including a display of Pakistan’s national animal Markhor. The animal lives in the mountainous regions of the country.
There are multiple options that are being given to the national airline carrier which even includes replacement of Pakistan’s flag on the tail of the plane with the painting of Markhor.
It is being reported that PIA will launch its new revamped aircraft at the inauguration of new Islamabad International Airport on April 20th. It is pertinent to mention here that the first plane is ready to land tomorrow at New Islamabad International Airport and Pakistan International Airline (PIA) will operate a mock test flight from the Airport tomorrow on April 7th, 2018.
Coming back to the display of Markhor on the plane, there is no knowing that whether PIA has been permitted by the Board of Directors to make this change or not. It is not simple for an airline to change its design and logo, so it will require a proper procedure. Also if we believe the rumors, there are PIA officials who are not happy with replacing Pakistan’s flag with Pakistan’s national animal.
This is not the only issue PIA is facing presently, from privatization of the airline to its never-ending accidents the airline needs to come together and serve the people through collaborative effort. The discount offers and celebrations of ‘Spring’ on board with gift and dances are baby steps that are being taken by PIA to regain its lost glory but the road ahead is long, tiring and full of hurdles.
