The management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has taken the decision to give promotion to all its employees who have got an MBA degree, as per the media reports on Thursday.
The PIA employees who have got the MBA degrees have been asked to contact their respective station managers for proceeding on with the requirements for the promotion.
The station managers have been instructed to forward the data of the relevant employees to the concerned HR units.
It has also been decided that the assessment test would be taken of the employees with MBA degrees. As per sources, the test would be conducted via an Institute of Business Management.

Later, a board of PIA would be conducting interviews of the successful candidates before they would be promoted to the next grade.
In the meantime, a report about fake degrees of pilots and cabin crew members of the Pakistan International Airlines has been presented before the Senate Standing Committee on Aviation on Wednesday.
The government members asked for strict action against the ones who have got fake degrees, but, the opposition did not support the government members’ call, according to sources.
Mushahidullah Khan—the Chairman of the committee showed dissatisfaction with the report and said that unjustified delay was witnessed in action against the fake degree holders.
He said that it is beyond understanding that the charge-sheet in the case was issued 4 years later after the issuance of the show-cause notices.
