The cabin and crew members of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been directed by the administration of the national airline to use hand sanitizers and face masks both on and off duty.
A health advisory has been issued by the national carrier-flag of Pakistan on Monday to its crew containing all the precautionary measures against the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The authorities have advised the crew members of the airline to avoid contact with the passengers who are sick or maintain a three-foot distance from them.
The notification further said that avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. “Use a tissue if you are coughing or sneezing,” the notice reads.
In case of an emergency, the crew members of Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar have also been advised to contact their base managers.
The notification added that office visiting hours will be up to 1300, only in case of the acute nature of work.
