PIA cuts ticket prices for expats intending to visit the earthquake-affected areas.
As per the reports of local media, the Pakistan International Airlines—PIA has decreased the travel fares for the Pakistanis living abroad and trying to visit their loved ones who got affected by the latest earthquake that jolted some areas of Pakistan.
The national flag carrier announced to decrease the ticket prices for the passengers flying out from Britain to Pakistan in mid of the natural calamity.
As per the shared details, the reduction in prices was considered in the spirit of humanity and to show solidarity with the ones who got adversely affected owing to the natural disaster.
A cut of 15percent has been announced in the ticket prices for the British-Pakistanis.
The new prices have been given approval and are in effect, the slashed ticket prices would continue until the 5th of October 2019.
The earthquake has led to many deaths, so far 37 reported, with more than 500 injured as rescue activities are underway in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The strong earthquake of 5.8-magnitude brought disasters to the various parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The quake hit on some urban areas and the rural parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir including Kotli, Muzaffarabad and many other scattered places.
As per the reports from the Mirpur of AJK, the deep cracks appeared on roads near Jatlan Canal located in the Upper Jhelum and many automobiles were overturned into it.
The measure taken by the national airline is laudable and reflects that PIA values and cares for the sentiments and emotions of people.
