Fares have been reduced for all the domestic flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). PIA made this announcement regarding the reduction in fares. The goal of the national air carrier would be to attract passengers to travel by reducing air fares.
According to the PIA spokesman, the one-way fare which includes taxes has been set Rs. 12,000 for Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and other cities.
In an earlier article we informed our readers regarding the Consul General PIA revealing that the airline would operate special flights until the 27th of June to bring back the stranded 25,000 Pakistanis from the Gulf nations.
However as these flights were just bound from the UAE to Pakistan, PIA increased the air fares. Thus, the new one-way ticket for Karachi would charge Dh 1,270 and for Peshawar Dh 1,470.
It can be said without a doubt that airlines have suffered the most amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Recently, 55 crew members of PIA ended their contract and PIA did not extend those contracts to restrict its operational capability.
