PIA Banned to Operate Flights to the US


The US Department of Transportation has banned the Pakistan International Airlines to operate flights to the United States due to the flight safety concerns.

The airline’s special authorization to operate in the United States has been revoked on an immediate basis.

The verdict has been taken owing to the dubious licenses of the pilots of Pakistan, as per the US Department of Transportation.

The airline is under strict scrutiny after many problems surfaced within the organization, including the fake licenses issue of the pilots which come out recently.

Back in the month of June, the European Union Air Agency has suspended the authorization for the Pakistan International Airlines to operate in Europe for 6 months.

It all started after the investigators held the pilot and the air traffic controller who was responsible for the PK-8303 crash in Karachi.

The plane crashed minutes before it was expected to land and was carrying 99 people, only two of the travelling passengers survived from the crash.

On the other hand, PIA has reduced the fares for the domestic flights.
