Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced massive fare cuts on Beijing-Islamabad route, the company has announced new fares today that will be applicable in the coming days, APP reported.
The national carrier has not only introduced reduction in fares but also special offers and packages for the passengers travelling in groups as part of skilled labour for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects in Pakistan.
This is a strategic decision taken by PIA in order to facilitate businesses and make the Beijing-Islamabad route more popular.
The government has approved the second bailout package for PIA and hopes the organization will make a comeback to restore its position and dignity as national carrier. Qatar also offered to provide financial assistance to revive PIA.
The organization is making strategic decision to get hold of the market, it was reported last month that the company will overtake slots left by emirates, as emirates also focusing on cutting its costs. Last year December, the company announced to resume Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok flights as well.
