The management of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced that the compensation for the plane crash victims has been increased. According to the details, the victims will receive Rs10 million each from the insurance company.
The spokesperson of the national airline said that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arshad Malik held successful talks with the insurance company to increase the compensation amount for the people who lost their lives in the plane crash in Sindh’s capital Karachi.
Earlier, the family members of those who lost lives in the plane crash were paid Rs5 million each, the spokesperson of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) said, adding that the national flag-carrier has already paid 1 million each to the families of the victim passengers of the incident.
The spokesperson further added that the letters are being sent to all the relatives of the victims for payment of insurance amount.
Back on May 22, a flight of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) PK-8303 crash near the Jinnah International Airport Karachi, killing as many as 97 people on board while two passengers had survived miraculously.
As per the details, during the unfortunate flight, the pilots have made a first landing attempt and the plane briefly touched the runway multiple times, before attempting to land for the second time.
