Pakistan International Airlines—PIA along with Askari Bank Limited has inked a Memorandum of Understanding to introduce a co-branded Credit Card. On the co-branded card, both the organizations would be offering their services for the benefit of a large number of Pakistani customers.

The signing ceremony was held at the Head Office of the airline where the MoU was signed by the CEO PIA—Air Marshal Arshad Malik and the CEO and President of Askari Bank—Mr. Abid Sattar.
As per the agreement, PIA and AKBL would be introducing a co-branded loyalty program which would be blended with the PIA awards +Plus Frequent Flyer Program.
The co-branded credit card would be providing exciting benefits to the PIA and Askari Bank customers, where they would be able to not just avail the membership of the frequent flyer program and get miles on each rupee spent but would also get many more benefits.
The CEO PIA on the occasion said that this agreement is another step towards providing better services, value addition and introducing much more ease to the customers of both the organizations.
While talking about the recent growth in PIA he shared that PIA yields have surged by 20percent and 23percent revenue growth has seen over the last year. He added that this is a substantial surge and indicates that PIA is on the right track to reaching heights.
The President and CEO of Askari Bank said that creative, tech-oriented products that provide ease to the customer is the key to success and this measure is a step towards that direction.
Presently, 70,000 to 80,000 passengers make use of the frequent flyer facility. It is believed that after the introduction of this new card the passengers’ count would increase to 150,000 to 160,000.
