PHA to Build A Theme Park in Rawalpindi

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA)—Rawalpindi intends to build an international standard theme park in Rawalpindi.

Asif Mehmood—the Chairman PHA while talking to APP said that the PHA on the instructions of the PM—Imran Khan was planning to develop a theme park in collaboration with the Turkish government for providing modern entertainment facilities to the citizens.

He said that PHA would also be installing artworks at the public places which include the Murree Road for enhancing the overall beauty of the surroundings and the area in general.

He added that the beautification measures would be taken in order to give better recreational facilities to the public.

He further said that the plantation drive launched by the PHA, Rawalpindi was in complete swing and all efforts are being spent on making the campaign a success.

He informed that the saplings were planted in the various areas of the city. He also told that a special cleanliness campaign was also introduced.

Mehmood said that the students, political leaders, and social and civil society members were taking part in the plantation campaign which would be continuing until May.

The PHA was giving plants free of cost to the citizens during the ongoing campaign.

PHA also arranged a snow festival at Murree for boosting the plantation importance.

An awareness walk was also arranged from Muhammadi Chowk—Khayaban-e-Sir Syed to Awan Chowk—Khayaban.
