Petroleum Group Exports Increased 97.2pc in 3 Months

The petroleum group exports have seen a sharp increase of 97.2 per cent during the first quarter of the present financial year in comparison to the same period of last year that is July-September 2017.

The export of the petroleum group has risen to $145.8 million in Jul-Sept of the year 2018-19 from $73.9 million in the same period of last year, as revealed by the latest data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

As per the breakup figures, petroleum crude’s export increased to $76.2 million during the current year from $33.1 million in comparison to the period of last year.

Exactly the same way the petroleum top Naphtha also reported a surge of $57.1 million during the same period under consideration as it hiked from$15.1 million to $23.7 million.

On a year on year basis the petroleum group exports showed an increase of 42.32 per cent in the month of September 2018 to $48.1 million against the exports during the month of September 2017 when the recorded exports were at $33.7 million.

On a monthly basis, however, the petroleum group exports during the current fiscal year’s September decreased by 17.6 per cent against the exports in August 2018 when the recorded exports were at $58.4 million.
