The government has decided to keep petrol prices the same for the month of October.
As per the press release by the Finance Ministry, it is being decided by the government to maintain the prices of the petroleum products at the current level to counterbalance the expected increase in the price of the petroleum products in November.
Although the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the petroleum division in order to reduce the prices of the petroleum products for the month of October.
The authority proposed Rs3.23 decrease in per litre price of high-speed diesel, Rs2.41 in light diesel oil and Rs 2.55 in petrol. The authority suggested Rs 1.19 increase in the per litre price of kerosene oil.
On 31st August, the petrol price was reduced by Rs 4.59.
And the prices of petrol and diesel were slashed by Rs 5.33 and Rs 4.59 per litre.
And now both diesel and petrol are being sold at Rs.113.24 and Rs.127.14, respectively.
On the other hand, the Civil Aviation Authority has fixed the bag wrapping charges at Rs.50 all across the airports of Pakistan.
