It is expected that the prices of petroleum products will be decreased drastically by the federal government. From December 2018 chances are that prices of petroleum products will be decreased by Rs 5 to Rs 7 per litre.
As the crude oil rate in the global market has reduced sharply by 25% in a month, the expectations are that the present government will decrease the petrol prices in December.
Previously the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmaker Hassan Murtaza condemned the unlawful increase in petrol prices. He condemned it in a resolution in the Punjab Assembly.
On the other hand, some news outlets also reported that the government might increase the prices of petroleum products due to the pressure being put by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Earlier the petrol prices were increased by PKR 5 per litre and now for December it is not confirmed whether the prices of petroleum products will be increased, decreased or they will remain the same.
As the price of oil has decreased in the international market, the public is hopeful that the government will take the decision in favor of the public and release them from the pressure of another price hike.
