All the pet shops in the capital city would remain open amid the coronavirus lockdown.
As per a notification that was issued by the deputy commissioner of Islamabad on Saturday, the directives are given for keeping pet shops open in Islamabad.
The notification reads that all the pet shops, which includes the food facilities of the pet would also stay open.
A maximum of one helper would be permitted, while the shops have been told to abide with the SOPs provided by the government for the COVID-19.
The notification further says that the shops would ensure that all the preventive steps needed to be taken are being taken for maintaining social distance among the customers.
Previously, for handling the threats that are posed by the coronavirus, a health emergency has been declared in all the hospitals of the federal capital.
The hospitals have been directed to suspend their OPDs until further directives are issued and to discharge the patients soon who have recovered from their respective illness so that the resources could be used for the patients suffering from coronavirus.
