Peshawar Schools Colleges And Universities Under Threat For Possible Terrorist Attack

Recently the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Home and Tribal Affairs Department has issued an alert for Peshawar’s universities, schools and colleges along with other educational institutions about a possible terrorist attack.

The alert was issued on Monday morning, in its threat alert, the department has stated that terrorists, led by Commander Muzammil, from Afghanistan, have entered Charsadda, and they have plans to spread terror in the provincial capital Peshawar.

Because of the possible terrorist attack, Higher Education, KP has also written to the heads of all universities, schools and colleges of the provincial capital to take measures for the safety of their students.

Similarly, police and other law-enforcement agencies have also been ordered to remain on their toes in view of a possible terrorist attack. Peshawar had faced its worst attack on an educational institute when terrorists stormed Army Public School on 16 December 2014  and killed over 150 people including 132 children.
