The government of KP has taken the decision that the minimum fare for the Peshawar BRT would be set at Rs.10 while a maximum fare of Rs.50 has been suggested.
This suggestion was recommended during the meeting of the steering committee led by the additional chief secretary and waits for the final approval by the KP CM Mahmood Khan.
All the citizens which include both the students and the elderly would be able to take advantage of the Bus Rapid Transit and to facilitate them more, it was proposed that the passengers should be taught how to use the ticket system by positioning volunteers or interns at each stop.
The meeting was also given information that out of the seventy-four applications that have been received for the post of the permanent CEO of BRT project, nineteen candidates fulfilled all the needs.
The much postponed BRT project is set to come in operations by the month of April 2020 as per the announcement by the Minister for Information of KP Shaukat Yousafzai.
