People who came abroad should avoid mosques for Friday prayers

An Islamic scholar, during an interview on a news channel, said that the people that have recently arrived in the country from abroad should avoid going to the mosques for the Friday prayers due to the outbreak of the deadly virus in Pakistan.

“People who have come from foreign countries, especially those who are showing virus’ symptoms, should not come to mosques for Friday congregational prayers,” an Islamic scholar Mufti Zubair said.

He further said that the people should make ablution at home not at the mosques so that there are fewer chances of contracting with each other. He further advised people to bring their own prayer mats to the mosques for the Friday prayer.

It is worth mentioning here that as many as 458 people have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Pakistan so far.
