Pegasus, a Turkish private airline company has made an announcement to launch flights to Pakistan.
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a statement as per which the Pegasus airline will launch flights to Pakistan from March 28.
An official travel notification has been issued by the air transport department of CAA to Turkish airline Pegasus for flight operation. Pegasus will have flight operations between Karachi and Istanbul four times a week.
Following the Turkish President Erdogan’s successful visit to Pakistan, this decision was taken.
Earlier we informed our readers that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will start direct flights to the United States (US) from April 2020. The preparations have entered into the final phase.
Direct flights will start from Pakistan to the U.S in April 2020. PIA administration will seek permission from the American officials for it and provide related documents and plans.
As per sources, PIA will use its long-range Boeing 777 aircraft for the flight operation to the US. It is important to mention here that a homeland security team from the U.S visited Pakistan to look at the arrangements made for direct flights at Islamabad and Karachi airports.

It was back in March 2019 when American authorities gave a green signal to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for commencing the direct flight operations to the United States (US).
This development has been made following a meeting of the Consul General of the United States of America JoAnne Wagner with the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) CEO Arshad Malik, at the PIA headquarters.
