I am aware of the Baloch people’s problems. I know the missing persons’ issue is still there. I feel pain when I see the victims.
Addressing the audience, ex-prime minister, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf criticized the media for “spreading false propaganda” about reasons behind PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s absence from today’s rally.
Balochistan National Party President Sardar Akhtar Mengal also added that despite the fact the province had always held up democratic ideals, it was given little in return. He notified that the families of missing persons have been waiting for their loved ones for 10 years.
The report also added; Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that the Baloch people would never abandon the country and defend its borders just like the nation. He regretted that while CPEC projects had led to the development in other parts of the country, residents of Gwadar still don’t have access to drinking water.
On the other hand, the Balochistan government already had requested the PDM leaders to avoid this rally as of a potential threat by TTP and a higher risk of covid spread.
Later, a blast has been reported in Hazarganji, Quetta, where several people are injured.
