PCB to Consult PM Khan for Resuming Cricketing Activities in the Country

It has been decided by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take Prime Minister Imran Khan into confidence before restoring cricket in Pakistan. It has been decided by the board to prepare a bio-secure roadmap and get Imran Khan’s approval in this regard.

Team management wants to conduct a training camp of national cricketers before the England tour starting next month. The camp is expected to start in June’s first week following Eid at the Lahore’s National Cricket Academy (NCA).

The bio-secure plan will be prepared by the Head Coach Misbah ul Haq, Bowling Coach Waqar Younis, and Director Domestic Cricket Zakir Khan. Once the plan is in shape it would be discussed with PM Khan.

The board wishes to conduct special training and conditioning camps of the players so that they are better prepared for the tour. The schedule will be issued by the government gives a green signal.

There will be coronavirus tests of the players, management, and NCA staff before and after the camp along with online psychological sessions, and fitness drills. Before finalizing the 16-man squad for a two-month-long England tour players will be asked for their consent.
