It has been learned that the PCB—the cricket board of Pakistan—has decided to remove Sarfaraz Ahmed as the captain of the Pakistan cricket team for the test format.
As per the media reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had already selected the replacement of Sarfraz Ahmed.

Sarfaraz Ahmed was relieved the Test captaincy prior to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Championship. The 32-year-old cricketer has led national cricket team in 13 Test matches to date.
The authorities will release further details in a cricket committee meeting on August 2 in Lahore.
During a press conference in National Stadium Karachi on July 7, Sarfaraz Ahmed said that he was made the captain of the national cricket team by the cricket board and it was the board itself that would decide about his future.
