The lobbying and the diplomacy of the head coach do not seem to work this time around and PCB decided to send him back home regardless of how the Pakistani cricket team performed in the remain matches of the ongoing World Cup in England.
The head coach Arthur has been under criticism since his alleged split with the senior players of the national team reported by the several national and international media houses during the recent series with England.
The Chief Selector of Pakistani Cricket Team, Inzamam-ul-Haque was reportedly in the United Kingdom to defuse the tensions in the dressing room after the reports of the rifts with the head coach and the players emerged.
On the other hand, Mickey Arthur had refuted the reports that he had any rift with any player in the national team. It has been observed that the cricket board, however, is not happy with some of the decisions made by Mr. Arthur as the head coach.
