With the passage of time, Pakistan Super League (PSL) is getting much intense, more thrilling thus getting bigger and bigger. Considering the success of this event and its demand in mind the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to host the entire fourth edition of the league in Pakistan.
The board is already in plans of shifting its second home ground from the United Arab Emirates to Malaysia and is confident that with the cooperation of international teams and players in terms of their agreement on giving a tour to the country, the biggest thrilling cricket series would return to Pakistan.
The attack back in 2009 on the Sri Lankan team placed Pakistan cricket in a tight spot as international teams refused to visit the country. International cricket suffered negatively thus forcing the Pakistan Cricket Board to shift its home ground to the United Arab Emirates.
The cricket team of Zimbabwe after seven years gap visited Pakistan in 2016, however, it failed to create the kind of hype it was expected to make.
The first edition of Pakistan Super League was even held in the United Arab Emirates. But the most significant breakthrough made last year was the decision to host the PSL first edition final in Lahore.
The final was a tremendous success as fans were overjoyed and showed great excitement and participation by turning up at the venue.
This year as Pakistan Super League is preparing for the third edition, it is already decided that Lahore would be hosting two of the knockout matches, followed by the final which is to be played in Karachi.
Najam Sethi—Chairman PCB while talking to a Sportstar informed that the Board is intending to bring the entire PSL in Pakistan next year. He added that we hope we could shift the entire league to Pakistan completely and successfully next year. This would be making a way for a full series to be hosted in Pakistan by a top team.
It was also confirmed that after the PSL third edition, the West Indies team would be playing a three-match T20 series in Pakistan, which is to start from the 29th of March. The matches would be played in Lahore.
Najam Sethi added that he hopes that other teams may also visit Pakistan for playing matches next year or so.
