PCB Improves the Pay Structure for Domestic Cricketers


The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) today, introduced a new and improved pay structure for all domestic cricketers.

As per the new pay structure, the A+ category of the domestic cricket players will be able to earn around 3 million rupees in the 2020-21 season.

The board also released the monthly retainer structure according to which ten players will earn Rs.150, 000 in a month.

The Pakistan Cricket Board in a press release says that all the domestic players will now be earning 3.2 million rupees which has been increased 83 percent more as compared to 2019-20.

Moreover, according to the new pay structure, the best players will be provided an opportunity to take part in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan Cup Matches, and National T20 cup. 

The domestic cricketers will earn Rs.150, 000 yearly and on the other hand, 40,000 will be given to them for Pakistan Cup fixtures and National T20 cup, and for the Quaid-e-Azam cup, the players will receive Rs.60, 000.

The D category players will earn Rs.40, 000 in the monthly retainer but also these players will earn the same fee as the highest category player.

The D category players featuring in all 30 First XI league matches are going to earn Rs.1.8 million and if the player’s side reaches the finals this means a share in prize money and more matches.

The new improved structure will help the players in earning 7% more of what they were earning before. Last year, the contracted domestic players received Rs50, 000 as a monthly retainer and Rs.40, 000 as a match fee for white-ball cricket, and for red-ball cricket, they will receive Rs.75, 000.
