Najam Sethi—Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has told that the cricket board is looking for alternate options for becoming the possible venues for the future editions of the most thrilling Pakistan Super League (PSL) and other home matches.
While giving an interview to one of the television channels, Najam Sethi informed that Malaysia might become Pakistan’s adopted home ground for the future matches that are to be played. The chairman said that he would be visiting Malaysia for this purpose in the first week of next month (that is March).
He added that he would be travelling to Malaysia for seeing their grounds. And said that if all the required arrangements are done and agreed upon, then having Malaysia as our home venue would be reducing the costs incurred, in half.
He highlighted the fact that it would become super difficult for the Pakistan Cricket Board to schedule or organize matches in the United Arab Emirates if the country starts hosting other league matches as well.
The Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman informed that all the Pakistan Super League franchises have paid their dues to the PCB. However, one or two franchises have not yet paid the fees to their players and they are yet to pay them.
The first match of the PSL third edition is to be played on the 22nd of February. The league captures international fame and coverage. This year fifteen international players have agreed to play matches in the super league third edition.
PSL is not that old but it has captured the hearts of the people of Pakistan. It has become the most thrilling and fun-filled event. It brings high spirits and enthusiasm for the Pakistanis.
This year the ride-hailing service providers—Uber has partnered with Habib Bank Limited for the upcoming PSL-2018. It would not only provide safe and secure transportation to the riders across the seven cities of Pakistan but would also be making use of the PSL platform to support the community.
