The cricket board of Pakistan has announced that the former batsman Younis Khan has been appointed as the batting coach of the national cricket team of Pakistan for the upcoming tour of England.
According to the press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a wrist spinner and a veteran of 52 Tests, Mushtaq Ahmad has been appointed as the Pakistani cricket team’s spin-bowling coach and mentor for the three-Test and three-T20Is series, which will be played in August-September. “The pre-series and series details will be announced in due course.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in its statement, said that the appointments were made to facilitate the head coach of the national cricket team Misbah-ul-Haq and the fast-bowling coach Waqar Younis.
The cricket body of Pakistan (PCB) further stated that additional players will be sent to England to provide them with the best training and preparation opportunities.
While commenting on his appointment, Younis Khan said that he was privileged to have been offered the opportunity to serve the country for the challenging but exciting tour of England.
It is pertinent to mention here that the 42-year-old has an impressive record when it comes to playing cricket in England. He scored 810 runs in 16 innings at an average of 50.62 with a top score of 218.
