Jam Kamal Khan—the Chief Minister of Baluchistan on Sunday said that the Pak-Arab Oil Refinery Limited (PARCO) would be setting up the largest oil refinery in the region, besides the one being installed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Gwadar.
The announcement was made during the visit of the CM Baluchistan to Karachi.
While conversing with the media, the chief minister said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor—CPEC is an economic game-changer for the entire nation. He added that the project would bring job opportunities, growth and better life for the people of Baluchistan.
He also mentioned that the investors of various countries have got this desire to become a part of CPEC.
The minister also mentioned that the PARCO would be establishing the biggest oil refinery in the region. He also mentioned that the province of Baluchistan has got extensive mineral and natural resources, which are the property of the people of Baluchistan.
Regarding his government’s development plans, Kamal Khan said that 16 to 18 trauma centres would be established on the RCD Highway.
Additionally, he informed that they are upgrading all district headquarter hospitals. He added that as many as 500 doctors would be hired on a contractual basis for providing healthcare facilities in every part of the province.
He also informed that the provincial government has also set up a tourism development authority.
