Pakistan’s Footwear Exports increases by 15%

The country’s Footwear exports have witnessed an upward trend during the first quarter with a 15% increase as compared to the previous corresponding period.

According to the data published by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan’s footwear exports jumped to $29.38 million in July-September (2018-19) period as compared to the previous figure $25.54 million during July-September (2017-18).

Pakistan’s leather footwear export has seen a positive increase of 15.44% the exports value jumped to $26.55 million during the period under review as compared to $23.00 million witnessed in the previous period.

Petroleum products exports increased by 97.2% in 3 months

Pakistan’s leather products are lauded all over the world, the manufacturers have just to keep the modern designs and stitching and making techniques so the finished products are in line with modern fashion. Secondly, the government has to make and implement effective exports policies for leather products so the manufacturers are more inclined towards exporting their products.

The Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar also stated last month that the government is stressing on increasing exports, he emphasized on the textile industry and said the government is mulling to offer special incentives to the industry. Not only the textile sector, but the government is also focusing on all key sectors to boost exports, said Asad Umar.
