Pakistan’s Coronavirus Positivity Ratio Reaches Up to 7.1%


Earlier today, the NCOC (National Command and Operation Centre) declared that the positivity ratio in Pakistan’s coronavirus cases has reached up to 7.1%.

According to the reports, a meeting of the NCOC was held with Asad Umar Planning and Development Minister in the chair to analyze the situation of COVID-19 cases and implementation on the SOPs all over the country.

The forum was informed that the highest test positivity rate was recorded at 24.85% in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), trailed by Hyderabad at 22.18%, and Karachi at 18.96 %.

As per NCOC, in total, there are 2,186 critically ill coronavirus patients in Pakistan but the number of such patients is increasing abruptly.

On Saturday Asad Umar said that guarding the masses against the pandemic is the government’s primary priority. All-out efforts are being made to control the spread of the virus with round-the-clock checking of the COVID-19 situation.

He further stressed the need for people to play an individual and collective role to stop the spread of the pandemic virus, praising the implementation of SOPs at mosques in Pakistan.
