PM Khan telephoned the Turkish President—Recep Tayyip Erdogan and exchanged views on the most current regional situation.
He also added that the Pakistani nation is eagerly waiting to warmly welcome the Turkish President to Pakistan.
The Prime Minister gave assurance to President Erdogan of Pakistan’s firm support to help Turkey. During the telephonic conversation, PM Khan told Erdogan that Islamabad is in, complete knowledge of the concerns of Ankara over the matter of terrorism.
He said that Pakistan has given 70,000 sacrifices in war against terrorism, whereas the nation has also provided shelter to 3 million refugees.
PM Khan also said that he is praying for the success of the efforts of Turkey for keeping peace and harmony in the region.
It is important to mention that the Turkish President would be paying a 2-day visit to Pakistan starting from the 23rd of October, as per the diplomatic sources.
During his visit, it is expected that he would be visiting with the top political and military leadership of the country.
According to the diplomatic sources, the foreign ministries of Pakistan and Turkey are working on the details of the visit.
Prior to the visit of President Erdogan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi—the foreign minister of Pakistan would be leaving from a 2-day visit to Turkey on the 20th of October.
