There is a probability that the Pakistani TV dramas might be shown on the Saudi channels, as the Kingdom has shown interest to do so.

Fawad Chaudhry—the Minister for Information and Technology met with Dr Awad al Awwad—the Saudi Counterpart in Jeddah and they discussed on the matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, warm exchanges were done between both the parties. Fawad Chaudhry expressed his gratitude to the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Saudi authorities for giving them such a warm welcome and their generous hospitality.

The Saudi Minister showed great interest in screening Pakistani television dramas on Saudi channels, as per the report.

The Minister said that opening of the doors of Khana e Kaaba for Imran Khan—the Prime Minister of Pakistan and his delegation is a special honour for Pakistan.

Fawad Chaudhry added that both countries share fraternal relations which are inclined to grow more stronger with time.

He added that the visit of the Saudi Minister for Information to Pakistan is significant and has set the direction for corporation between the two ministries.

While speaking on the occasion, Dr Awwad said there is great potential for media cooperation among the two nations and both of them needs to take benefit of the situation.

Both the leaders also mutually agreed on a joint media strategy for fighting against extremism.

Pakistan and the Kingdom on Wednesday confirmed their intentions to stand beside each other during all times. They both showed their desire to further boost and diversify bilateral cooperation and to continue close together on the matters of mutual interest.

Both the nations also work to strengthen their historical and brethren relations, rooted in the bonds of common religion, values, culture and the quest for the regional and global peace and security.

Both the nations expressed satisfaction at the merge of views on a host of regional and global matters, along with the issues that are being currently faced by the Muslim Ummah.
