Pakistani rupee to US dollar strengthened slightly today as the Friday interbank trading closed at PKR 164.50/USD.

Pakistani Rupee Strengthened Against USD

Pakistani rupee to US dollar strengthened slightly today as the Friday interbank trading closed at PKR 164.50/USD. The previous rate was recorded to be PKR 165/USD.

But, as per the Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at PKR 165 and PKR 165.7 respectively.

The State Bank of Pakistan also informed the media that in interbank trading, the price of the euro depreciated by 80 paisas and closed at PKR 192.75 against the last day’s trading of Rs. 193.55.

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at PKR 1.56. While an increase of Rs. 1.05 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound which was traded at PKR 212.95 as compared to its last closing of PKR 211.90.

The forex rates of Emirati Dirham and Saudi Riyal declined by 14 paisas each and closed at PKR 44.78 and PKR 43.85 respectively.
