Pakistani Footballer Karishma Ali featured in Forbes 30 under 30 list

Pakistani footballer Karishma Ali has featured in Forbes 30 under 30 list. 21-year-old Karishma is Chitral Women’s Sports Club founder. She has played football at both the national and international levels and trained 60 girls. She has encouraged these girls to participate in Sports.

CNN Sport tweeted, “She made history by playing football and has been named among Forbes’ ’30 under 30,’ along with the likes of tennis star Naomi Osaka. Now Karishma Ali is making a difference to the lives of women in the patriarchal region of Pakistan where she grew up.”

Earlier Karishma represented Pakistan at the Jubilee Games in Dubai. Her team was the first women’s team that took part in the AFL International Cup.

Karishma faced many issues on her path to success. She lived in that area of Pakistan where the internet facility was occasional. Ali further revealed that some men in her area also gave her death threats for playing football. But this didn’t stop Karishma. She continued raising her voice for other girls who wanted to have more in their lives than just being housewives.
