Pakistani Films Sold Out on Eid because Indian Films were Banned – Sadaf Kanwal

Somebody has spoken the truth and no matter how difficult it is to digest it is the truth. Sadaf Kanwal the famous model & actor shared her opinion on the Pakistani movies released this Eid through a Facebook post.

Sadaf wrote, “Are only the same 2 Directors going to give us good, entertaining films every year? What is everybody else even doing?
Seriously, worst 3 days for the films”

Sonya Hussyn whose film Azadi released on Eid replied, “Every other film can not be a comedy film, its just we need to understand there are different genres as well when it comes to film making. All the films are not meant to entertain, probably it’s for different kind of audience.”

Adding, “Also check the box office details, our Pakistani films did really well this eid, 7DMI, AZAADI ‘s all shows are sold out! Which is eventually a big success i guess.”

To her, Sadaf replied, “I understand where you’re coming from and I agree, every film cannot be a comedy but at the same time if we’re going to go another route, which I’m totally for, we need to learn to execute that idea and sadly, we didn’t. As for those specific films being sold out, that’s amazing! But if the Indian films weren’t banned this weekend I really don’t think those films would have been sold out.”

We agree that Pakistani film industry is just taking baby steps right now but its okay if you take a step late instead of taking it wrong & falling down. If a film is good it will stand out even if it has a low budget like Cake or Motorcycle Girl did. But a useless film will just go into the bin.
