A Pakistani boy drowned in a UAE’s swimming pool on a Saturday evening. Just a day before the boy’s 8th birthday he drowned in the swimming pool of a residential tower in Sharjah. The incident was reported to the police from the building where Suhail Ahmed Nasser and his family lived in AI Khan area.
When the family members of the kid found him struggling in the water they tried to rescue and revive him but it was too late. When they failed they called an ambulance. The boy died when he was being rushed to the Al Qasimi Hospital. He was given first aid on the spot and in the hospital but he was already dead. The body is transferred to the forensics for autopsy and the Al Buhairah Police station is investigating the incident.
The police were informed about this incident at 7.30pm. Presently the parents of the kid are being questioned to find out whether somehow their negligence led to the death of the boy. Parents can face legal action if their ignorance led to the incident.
In UAE this is the second incident of child drowning in the last couple of weeks. Only last week a 2-year-old girl drowned in a swimming pool in the Al Dhaid area. The police have warned the parents to be extra careful & keep an eye on their children during the summer vacations. Police told the parents of the consequences faced by the kids when they are allowed to play unsupervised. Therefore parents were urged by the police to take care of their children.
