Pakistani-American Man ‘Shahid Khan’ features in Forbes Richest List

Shahid Khan, a Pakistani-American has been featured in Forbes as the 66th richest man in the United States in 2020. Khan has a total worth of $7.8 billion. For the third year in a row, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the U.S in the world. Bill Gates stands at number 2.

On Tuesday the Forbes list of 400 richest Americans was published. It was estimated that the total worth of Bezos in 2020 was $179bn while Gates’s net worth was $111bn and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg stood third with $85bn net worth.

Tesla’s founder Elon Musk has gained the most net worth in % terms as he has become 242% richer than he was last year.

On this list, Shahid Khan is the only Pakistani. By trade, he is an engineer. At the age of 16, he immigrated to the U.S with just $500 and a plane ticket. From his former employer, he bought the auto parts supplier Flex-N-Gate in 1980.

His success was based on his design for a one-piece truck bumper. Today, his company has 64 plants globally and more than 24,000 employees. At Flex-N-Gate, Khan made his first billion.

Khan launched All Elite Wrestling with his son in 2019. He made a four-year contract extension with WarnerMedia back in Jan 2020.

In 2019, Khan launched; it aired its first weekly show in October 2019 and inked in January 2020.
