Pakistan Vs World 11: Pakistan’s Squad is announced but World XI’s is still not decided

After a long time, International Cricket doors are opening to Pakistan. International cricket players are coming to Pakistan for a series named after Independence cup 2017. The series has three Twenty-20 matches on 12th, 13th and 15th of September, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday respectively.

All the matches are scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm local time 15:00GMT at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Pakistan has announced the team squad but World XI’s squad is not confirmed yet, the world XI team would be consisting of players from various international teams including South African, West Indian, and Sri Lankan players, some players from England are also expected to play from World XI’s side.

As this is a friendly match between Pakistan and World X1 few drop-offs and retired players are also playing in Pakistan’s squad including; Ahmed Shehzad, Anwar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam, Haris Sohail, Junaid Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Rahat Ali, Saeed Ajmal, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Yasir Shah and Younis Khan.

The World XI squad would also be featuring some key players from the past, making more or less the same team weightage.

The match may not be thrilling as it should be in an international counter but the idea is to provide Pakistani cricket fans a source of entertainment and promotion of international cricket in the country.
