On Friday the Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan values the closer ties and enhanced collaboration with Tajikistan in various fields.
In a meeting that was held with the President of Tajikistan—Emomali Rahman on the sidelines of the Second Belt and Road Forum, the two premiers also had a discussion on the matters regarding the energy cooperation and connectivity.
Both the leaders talked about political relations and exchanged views on trade, high-level matters and economic interactions and the regional situation.
They also talked about the development of CASA-1000 project and resolved to make sure that it gets completed on time.
The two countries agreed to boost the bilateral exchanges further and to enhance the bilateral collaboration in the sectors of energy and other areas.
The meeting attendees were the Minister for Railways—Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Shah Mehmood Qureshi—the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Faisal Vawda—the Minister for Water Resources, Khusro Bakhtiar—Minister for Planning, Abdul Razaq Dawood—adviser on Commerce and Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh—Advisor on Finance.
