Pakistanis can now work in South Korea as Pakistan Signs MoU with South Korea in order to create employment for Pakistani workers in South Korea.

A ceremony was organized at the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis on Wednesday, where Pakistan has signed a two-year agreement with South Korea through Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC). According to the agreement South Korea will create jobs for Pakistani workers in South Korea for at least two years 2018-19. The minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Pir Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi has signed the agreement with Korean officials.

The minister appreciated the Korean gesture for giving an opportunity to the Pakistani government to send Pakistani workers to South Korea through an effective and transparent system.

Pakistani skilled workers now will have the opportunity to explore South Korea as their employment destination. South Korea is one of the major overseas employment countries in Asia, skilled workers from Pakistan can get more exposure to international standards of work, business and development.

The South Korean Ambassador Kwak Sung-Kyu while addressing the gathering appreciated the cooperation between the ministry of OP&HRD and the Ministry of Employment and Labor Korea for creating an opportunity for Pakistan in order to welcome skilled and dedicated labor from Pakistan.

The Ambassador said we will look forward to enhancing this cooperation in the days to come.
