Pakistan Reports First Death of a Coronavirus Patient in Lahore


It has been reported that a suspected coronavirus patient has died on Tuesday. The patient was admitted to Mayo Hospital in Lahore. Imran, the deceased was a resident of Hafizabad. Recently Imran returned from Iran.

Also earlier, Pakistan reported its first coronavirus death in Hayatabd medical complex, Peshawar on Monday. The patient, 31 years old was admitted to HMC. He traveled from Qatar to Pakistan. The patient belonged from Hangu while his family lived in Qatar. But it is important to mention here that the patient was brought to the hospital in serious condition.

There is another suspected case, Tahir admitted to HMC. He is 24-year-old. It was revealed by the doctors that he is in stable condition and his specimens are taken for laboratory tests.

It is important to mention here that the government has limited traveling both inward and outward in order to control the movement of people.

Schools have been closed in Pakistan. Classes are being moved online. Cinemas are closing. As officials are turning to quarantine measures to tackle a virus that has now killed thousands of people globally.

In Pakistan, the total number of coronavirus cases has reached 189 as five new cases of novel coronavirus emerged in Sindh. In Sukkur, 234 tests were conducted out of which 119 pilgrims tested positive. 36 patients tested positive in the rest of Sindh. 34 of these patients are under treatment and 2 of the patients have recovered.
