The Commerce Ministry has removed the bar on the import of anti-malaria medicine on Friday amid the fears of the shortage of medicine throughout the nation.
The government has halted the import of the medicine on the 3rd of April. The verdict was, requested to be taken by the Pakistan Drug Law Forum President, Noor Muhammad Mehar.
As per the issued notification by the forum, the medicine of anti-malaria have proven to be the most effective for the treatment of the coronavirus patients.
He also said that the nation has already suffered owing to the shortage of the N-95 face masks due to the insufficient policies of the government. He further said that the patients could not be put to risk anymore.
Pakistan has as per the latest reported more than 4,500 coronavirus cases. 65 deaths have occurred owing to the global pandemic.
On the other hand, as per the latest, the government of Sindh is to observe complete lockdown in the province today from 12 noon to 3:00 pm in order to avoid the gathering of large crowds for controlling the spread of the coronavirus.
