Pakistan Railways to Launch a Cheap Local Train Service in Karachi on October 31st

On the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan Railways is launching an affordable local train service in Karachi. The train is especially for low-income people. To facilitate them, the train service is being inaugurated on October 31st.

Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said, “The Prime Minister has fulfilled his promise for laborers to launch the train service which will run between Dhabeji-Landhi and Karachi.”

The train will be inaugurated by President Dr. Arif Alvi on October 31st. The train will basically resolve the issue of traffic on the roads of Karachi and provide cheap service to the laborers.

According to the Railway Minister, this is the launch of the 6th train since the PTI government came into power, two months back.

Minister said, “We will fulfill our promise and target for launching 10 new passenger and 15 freight trains in the first 100 days of the government.”

He said that the government plans to provide employment to at least 10,000 individuals on merit in Pakistan Railways.

Rashid said, “It is the slogan of Pakistan Railways that “Rest forbidden” and hoped that the deficit of Pakistan Railways will overcome within one year period.”
