Pakistan Railways has started an e-ticket booking facility from Monday midnight, 12:00 p.m., following the announcement of operating 30 trains from the 20th of May and onwards.
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Railways has said that the citizens will be enabled to reserve their tickets online from Monday mid-night for the passenger trains that are starting from the 20th of May.
The passengers who booked their tickets before the lockdown was imposed would be given preference to travel via the trains. The online booking facility will be closed once 60 percent of ticketing completes.
The spokesperson also said that the department of railways will make a full refund to the passengers who are not willing to travel anymore.
Previously, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the Minister for Railways has said that PM Khan has announced to restart the train operations in the country from Wednesday.
While addressing a press conference, the Minister for Railways said that PM Khan has given the approval to operate 30 trains from the 20th of May. The minister also added that all the SOPs would be adopted during the train operation.
He also announced a reduction in the ticket prices by 50 to 60 percent, even though the move will lead to a loss to the Railways ministry. The minister also thanked PM Khan for approving the decision of restoring the train services.
