Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the Minister for Railways made the announcement on Monday of reducing the fares of Jinnah Express by 50percent for the 15th of October, as per the reports of local media.
As per the details, Pakistan Railways has slashed the fares of Karachi to Lahore route of Jinnah Express from Rs.1,825 to Rs.950. The special offer is for just one day that is today, October 15.
The minister said that the coaches of the economy class category are being added to the train for facilitating the passengers.
Previously on the 10th of August, Sheikh Rasheed had announced of offering 50percent discount to the passengers in the fares of Eid special trains.
While addressing a press conference, the Minister for Railways said that a 50percent reduction on the rail tickets has been offered to the passengers for facilitating them on the joyous occasion of Eid.
He also said that the Sindh Express would be inaugurated in Multan after Eid and further mentioned that the work on ML-1 project would begin soon.
Sheikh Rasheed also said that both the Samjhota and Thar Express were suspended after comprehensive planning.
