The fare of Jinnah Express have been reduced by Pakistan Railways. A notification was issued by the public utility in which it was announced that the fares of Jinnah Express will be reduced.
The travelers traveling on the express train between Karachi and Lahore will now have to pay less. Instead of PKR 7000, they can travel at the rate of PKR 6500.
Children that are less than the age of 10 will have to pay PKR 4900. Earlier they were charged PKR 5400 but now they are charged 500 less.
It is pertinent to mention here that it is the first time the government has reduced the cost of travelling on an express train. As claimed by the Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed, the government wants to bring back the old lost glory of the department by overcoming the issues and adding trains to its existing fleets in upcoming days.
It is important that the government takes the necessary steps to improve Pakistan Railways by bringing new, better trains, improving the structure and create better environment for the workers and the travelers.
