Pakistan Post would be opening more than 100,000 franchises across Pakistan in 2020 as part of a development programme, as informed by the Minister for Postal Services Murad Saeed.
He said that these franchises would help in creating employment opportunities for the young people from all parts of the nation and would eventually be boosting their businesses.
The minsiter further added that the post offices would be updates with the modern equipment for providing ease to the people. He further mentioned that a home delivery service would also be introduced from the offices for the delivery of the essential household commodities at home.
A 24/7 service would be started via which the facilities like the payment of bills, collection of remittances, the delivery of parcels and e-commerce would be offered.
Between 200,000 to 300,000 people would be employed under the development programme, as informed by the minister. He also mentioned that the electric rickshaws and bikes would also be offered.
Besides this another aim of the programme was to enable the businessmen in the rural areas to reach out to the customers in the urban regions and to expand their businesses, as informed by Murad Saeed.
