The biggest ever Pakistan Pavilion at the Multicultural World village in Lyon was inaugurated by Moin ul Haque, Ambassador of Pakistan to France along with Deputy Mayor of Lyon. Lyon is the second biggest city in France.
Pakistan Pavilion was beautifully decorated and designed, filled with Pakistan’s cultural artifacts. The creativity and beauty appealed huge number of visitors. The main attraction of the festival was the different and colorful traditional embroidery, traditional dresses, Pakistani spicy food items along with the cultural display of truck art.
Moin ul Haque, the Pakistani ambassador spoke on the occasion, highlighting the reason for Pakistan’s participation as part of the Public Diplomacy initiative launched by the Embassy in 2016 under the banner “Celebrating Pakistan”. The objective was to aware French people with the rich strong cultural values, traditions and heritage of Pakistan, to create understanding and strong relations between the two countries.
More than twenty countries along with 51 Consulates took part in the three day festival.
