Pakistan Partial Airspace Closure Extended for One More Day

A few airports in Pakistan will remain closed for one more day. According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Sialkot, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur airports closure has been extended for 24 hours for all inbound and outbound air travel.

The CAA notification read that the airspace of Pakistan will remain closed for all transit flights till 14th March 2019.  Furthermore, all international flights entering Pakistan’s airspace via India will also remain closed for at least a day more.

The notam further stated that the partially resumed operations at the specific airports in Pakistan will continue operations till 22nd March.

Pakistan Airspace was closed for days due to escalation in tensions with India. Even though flight operations have resumed in most of the airports, the transit flights in a few airports remain closed.
