Pakistan Lunar Calendar is developed by the Ministry of Science and Technology

According to the details, a lunar calendar for the next five years has been prepared by the federal ministry for Science and Technology.

Following the instructions of the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, the expert officials of the ministry have prepared the calendar. As per the details, the calendar has been prepared for the five years and after the period the five years, it would be reviewed.

Federal Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has asked the Islamic Ideological Council of Pakistan for the recommendations and publishing the calendar in the holy month of Ramazan. He approached the officials of the council and apprise them about the preparation of the lunar calendar.

According to the details, the calendar would be submitted in the federal cabinet after getting a green signal from the Islamic Ideological Council (IIC). The federal ministry has also announced to contact seminaries before publishing the calendar.

It is pertinent to mention here that Fawad Chaudhry on Monday invited the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-Ur-Rehman as well as the Imam of Qasim Ali Khan mosque Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai to see how easy science has made to predict the lunar calendar for the next five year.
